A Mega Job Fair at Don Bosco College, Kohima, on Saturday offered more than 1,000 job vacancies and aimed to boost employment for young people in Nagaland and the Northeast. The day-long event united job seekers, recruiters, government officials, educational institutions, and industry representatives to bridge the gap between talent and employment.
The Salesian Family is celebrating 150 years of missionary service with the release of Legacy of Unity, the third and final documentary in a jubilee trilogy marking the sesquicentennial of Saint John Bosco’s first missionary expedition in 1875. Don Bosco transformed missionary zeal into a way of life, entrusting his sons and daughters with a daring vision: to reach the young, especially the poorest and most abandoned, wherever they may be. On 13 April seven licensed women drivers drove into the future in their own e-autos in the 7th phase of the WE Auto (Women empowerment through Electric Autos) initiative in Kollam, Kerala; joining the other trailblazers, totalling to 34 women from the local fishing community. They are literally driving change into their own lives and the lives of their communities, with the support of BREADS and its Don Bosco partner Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP).
A workshop was organized for the delegates of the Youth Ministry in the Vice Province of Sri Lanka, focusing on creating a culture of vocation and introducing Career Guidance and Job Placement Services. Father Gabriel Karunaraj, Director of Don Bosco Job Placement Network, animated the workshop. The workshop gave a comprehensive briefing on career counselling, employability skill training, and job placement assistance.
