Salesian College, Dimapur, came alive on 20 September as nearly 700 young people from 18 youth centres gathered for the Annual Youth Meet 2026, hosted by the Province of Dimapur under the theme “Instruments of Peace.” The day-long programme blended prayer, formation, fellowship, creativity, and cultural expression, offering participants a platform to reflect on their role in building peace within families, communities, and society.
The Annual Youth Ministry Delegates and Network Heads Meeting 2026, hosted at Siloam, Umsawkhwan in Ri-Bhoi District, concluded after five days of reflection, dialogue, and planning. Organized by the Youth Pastoral Ministry, Rome, in collaboration with Don Bosco Youth Animation – South Asia, the gathering brought together delegates and network leaders from across South Asia to strengthen the Salesian mission among young people.
In Guwahati, on 16 September 2026, a hall filled with anticipation became the stage for transformation. Bosco Reach Out (BRO), Don Bosco Job Placement Network (JPN), India, National Career Service (NCS), ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco Technical Maligaon, Parish Youth, and the Ministry of Labour and Employment joined hands to create more than a Job Fair—it was a collective movement to empower young lives.
The Annual Youth Ministry Delegates and Network Heads Meeting 2026 of South Asia is a strategic moment of reflection and renewal. Organized jointly by the Youth Pastoral Ministry, Rome, and Don Bosco Youth Animation – South Asia (DBYA-SA), Delhi, the meeting seeks to strengthen collaboration, discern pastoral directions, and respond more effectively to the challenges and aspirations of young people across the Salesian Provinces of South Asia.

The Salesian Province of St Francis de Sales, Dimapur, conducted a two-day Training of Administrators on August 18 and 19 at Don Bosco Provincial House, Dimapur, focusing on financial management, statutory compliance, professionalism and technology-enabled administration.
In a gesture of solidarity with the flood-affected people of Assam, St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Harmutty, a Don Bosco institution, came forward to extend financial assistance of rupees two lakhs to flood victims in Sivasagar district. A delegation from the school travelled to Sivasagar to assess the situation of the flood-affected people and extend support to families struggling with the aftermath of the devastating floods. The relief fund was raised through the generous contributions of the teachers, students, parents and past pupils of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Harmutty.
Fifteen Social Experience Dimension Coordinators from different Salesian Provinces met at Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad, on August 7–8 to strengthen Salesian youth ministry and enhance the accompaniment of young people.
The Salesian Province of Mary Help of Christians, Guwahati, held a Province-level Mission Poverty Eradication Meeting at the Don Bosco Provincial House on Tuesday.
The proceedings of the Salesian Symposium on the 150th Anniversary of the First Salesian Missionary Expedition were released on August 1 during the Regional Meeting of the Garo Hills and Rabha Hasong Regions. The release marked another milestone in the Province's year-long missionary celebrations.
