The global ministry of Salesian schools is guided by charismatic principles that place the young at the heart of their mission. Rooted in pastoral charity (“Da Mihi Animas”), Salesian education seeks to save souls and reveal God’s love, while the Preventive System of Reason, Religion, and Loving-kindness shapes educators to be companions and guides rather than mere disciplinarians. Faithful to their origins, Salesians show a preference for the poorest, focusing on abandoned and struggling youth, and implement the Educative Pastoral Plan (SEPP) to integrate academic, cultural, and spiritual goals into a unified response to modern challenges. Above all, they live the “Sacrament of Presence,” witnessing through their closeness to the young, walking with them, and sharing their dreams as a path to human and spiritual growth.
