Don Bosco High School, Kawant, has etched its name in Gujarat’s cultural annals by securing first place at the State-Level Kala Mahakumbh with a compelling Rathvi dance performance, bringing immense pride to the Chhota Udepur District. The achievement crowns months of disciplined practice and collaborative effort by students and teachers, reaffirming the school’s commitment to holistic education.

The victorious journey began at the taluka level, where the school’s Under-14 dance group delivered an authentic and culturally resonant Rathvi performance. Their precision, synchronization, and traditional expression impressed the jury, earning first place and a berth at the district competition.

At the district level, hosted at Shri V. R. Shah School, teams from across the region competed fiercely. Don Bosco’s ensemble stood out for its energy, rhythm, traditional costumes, and coordination, securing unanimous first place and the honour of representing the district at the zonal stage.

The zonal competition, held on December 24, 2025, at Swami Narayan International School, tested the team against top performers from multiple districts. Maintaining focus under pressure, the students captivated judges and audiences alike, clinching first position and advancing to the state finals.

The culminating state-level event took place on January 1, 2026, at Veer Narmada South Gujarat University. Despite fatigue and high expectations, the team delivered a flawless performance marked by passion and precision, once again securing first place and elevating the school, district, and region.

Key to the success were trainers Sir Govind, Sir Ganesh, and Sir Deepak, whose tireless mentorship ensured technical refinement and cultural authenticity. Accompanying the students at every stage, they managed logistics, travel, and welfare with unwavering dedication.

Balancing academics with rigorous rehearsals, the students demonstrated discipline, unity, and cultural pride—attributes that transformed a demanding journey into a historic triumph.
