A total of 467 young job seekers secured employment at the JobMela organized by Don Bosco Dhisha, Hyderabad, in partnership with the Diocese of Khammam, marking a significant stride in youth empowerment and employment outreach.

Held in Khammam, the event drew an impressive turnout of over 780 youth, eager to explore job prospects across sectors including IT, banking, manufacturing, healthcare, and services. The high-impact recruitment drive featured 27 prominent companies, offering a vital bridge between rural talent and corporate demand.

Most Rev. Bishop Prakash Sagili, Bishop of Khammam Diocese, inaugurated the event as the chief guest. In his motivational address to the gathering, he stated, “Youth is an age where we must prove our capacities before it vanishes. Today you are job seekers; tomorrow, strive to become job givers.”

The programme was also graced by Fr. Sarath BSK, Director of Don Bosco Dhisha, Fr. Thomas, Principal of Kristu Jyothi College, and Fr. Justin, Director of Dhisha. Reflecting on the event’s impact, Fr. Justin remarked, “This event has been a beacon of hope for the youth. We are grateful for the support of Bishop Prakash and the dedicated clergy of the Diocese of Khammam.”

The JobMela, true to the Salesian mission of empowering the youth through education and opportunity, became a platform of promise for hundreds of aspirants, reinforcing Don Bosco Dhisha’s commitment to transforming lives through skill-building and career support.
