In the wake of International Labour Day 2025, the Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DBJPN) launched a nationwide campaign focused on celebrating the dignity of work and expanding access to meaningful employment for young people across India. Through a series of coordinated job fairs and career guidance programs conducted throughout April and May, DBJPN reached more than 1,700 youth and facilitated over 1,200 job offers—transforming lives and opening doors in regions where job opportunities are often limited.
The Don Bosco Job Placement Network (DB JPN), a forum for Career Guidance and Job Placement Services in the South Asia region, marked a historic moment by commemorating Don Bosco's commitment to young workers' rights through the Leadership Summit 2025 at Chennai Tamil Nadu. The event, themed 'Decent Work, Dignified Life,' celebrated 174 years since Don Bosco's First Apprenticeship Contract and 175 years since the founding of the Mutual Aid Society.
The ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA) - Don Bosco Job Placement Network, Dimapur, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour and Employment's National Career Service Centre for Differently Abled, ST/SC Employment Exchange, Kohima, and the Model Career Centre, Dimapur, organized a job fair at the AIDA Don Bosco Campus. The event was a resounding success, attracting nearly 400 job seekers and six recruiting partners with over 600 vacancies.
Don Bosco Job Placement Network and Don Bosco Pvt ITI, Kokar, Ranchi, organized a Job Fair for the city's youth. The event featured 12 companies offering over 1,000 job opportunities, connecting job seekers with employers, and creating valuable employment prospects for the local community.
A workshop was organized for the delegates of the Youth Ministry in the Vice Province of Sri Lanka, focusing on creating a culture of vocation and introducing Career Guidance and Job Placement Services. Father Gabriel Karunaraj, Director of Don Bosco Job Placement Network, animated the workshop. The workshop gave a comprehensive briefing on career counselling, employability skill training, and job placement assistance.
Don Bosco Youth Animation Department organised a three-day session for the Salesian vocation promoters at Don Bosco Renewal Centre (DBRC), Bangalore. Fostering a culture of Vocation under the dimension of Vocational Guidance by the Don Bosco Youth Animation, the meeting was held from December 14-16, 2022. Fourteen Salesian vocation promoters from 11 Indian Salesian Provinces and the Vice-Province of Sri Lanka participated.
