BIRDY Unveils New Digital Platform
The much-anticipated new website of the Bosco Institute of Research and Development for Youth (BIRDY) was officially inaugurated by Fr. Biju Michael, SDB, the Regional Head of Don Bosco South Asia, during a special session of the Leaders Meet on Oct. 15, 2025. The event brought together key leaders and stakeholders of the Salesian community, highlighting the significance of the initiative in the realm of youth development and digital outreach.
During the gathering, Mr. Yeruva Joji provided an in-depth introduction to the website, explaining its purpose, key features, and intended audience. He emphasized that the platform is designed to be a dynamic hub for sharing updates, research outputs, learning resources, and ongoing initiatives of BIRDY, thereby fostering engagement, collaboration, and awareness within and beyond the Salesian network.
Following this introduction, Fr. Biju Michael officially launched the website, expressing his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of the team behind this project. He highlighted the importance of embracing digital innovation as a means to strengthen communication, increase transparency, and showcase the impactful work being carried out by the Salesian Province of Hyderabad.
The launch of the BIRDY website represents a significant milestone in promoting the mission and vision of Don Bosco, providing a platform that supports collaboration, enhances visibility, and reinforces the commitment to serving young people. This step forward not only modernizes the Institute’s outreach but also reflects a proactive approach in leveraging technology to inspire, inform, and connect the Salesian family and its partners worldwide.
