INM School Principals and Headmasters Gather for Annual Formation and Planning Meet

The Salesian Province of Chennai (INM) held its Annual Meeting of School Principals and Headmasters on June 19–20, focusing on reflection, professional formation, collaboration, and concrete strategic planning for the year ahead.

The meeting began with the Holy Eucharist, led by Fr. L. Don Bosco, Provincial of INM, who emphasised that personal well-being, spiritual growth, and community life form the foundation for impactful leadership aligned with Provincial Chapter 2022 (PC 2022). Fr. Provincial provided school leaders with practical guidance and renewed purpose for their work.
 
A central focus on day one was a group discussion on best practices in Salesian schools and traits of high-performing institutions. This session encouraged collaborative sharing of strategies to consistently elevate educational excellence. Fr. Don Bosco's clarifications further strengthened actionable outcomes.
 
The day concluded with an inspiring Good Night Talk by Fr. Y. L. Irudayaraj, whose account of St. Gabriel’s success reinforced the call to innovative, committed leadership throughout the province.
 
The second day opened with the Holy Eucharist, celebrated by Fr. John Peter. Next, Fr. John Alex, Vice Provincial, led a session on “Leading with Inner Clarity: Cliffs, Fog and Fire.” He drew from leadership experience and current challenges to stress vision, discernment, and resilience in school leadership.
 
Fr. John Britto, Provincial Economer, addressed critical aspects of school administration and financial management, providing clarity on priorities for effective governance in Salesian educational institutions.
 
Mr Kabir, CEO, Chennai, offered professional and motivational insights that equipped participants with practical tools to enhance school performance and leadership.
 
Fr. Stalin, Councillor for Youth Ministry, guided sessions with provincial departments such as DEEPAGAM, NIRAIVAGAM, DBICA, VAZHIKATTI, Scouts, and Don Bosco Kalvi Solai. These departments presented plans, initiatives, and future activities. The session yielded clear action points to enhance program effectiveness and requested that the Principals and Headmasters actively collaborate and support the implementation of departmental programs.
 
The gathering closed with a concise summary of actionable takeaways and essential reminders, underscored by Fr. John Alex's closing remarks. The annual meeting proved to be a strategic platform for aligning vision, sharing best practices, planning collaboratively, and strengthening the unity and purpose of Salesian educational institutions across the Chennai Province.
