Staff Training Program at DBTI Chattisgarh and Orissa

DB Tech and Bosco Team together conducted a week long capacity building program for the staffs of Don Bosco technical institutes at Chattisgarh and Orissa (2nd &3rd Jumaikela. 5th Jokbahla & 9th, 10th &11th Kuarmunda).
DB Tech and Bosco Team together conducted a week long capacity building program for the staffs of Don Bosco technical institutes at Chattisgarh and Orissa (2nd &3rd Jumaikela. 5th Jokbahla & 9th, 10th &11th Kuarmunda). The program was facilitated by Fr. Ashok (Director DBYES, Ranchi). 63 staffs in total were part of this program. It was an endeavor was to expose and help the staffs to equip themselves in a better way to train and shape the future of the youth entrusted in their care.
The program capacitated the staffs to manage their work and classroom in an effective and efficient manner. The training covered a variety of topics such as `Understanding the Young`, `New Trends in Education`; `Teacher`s plus`, `Know Yourself`, `Who is a Good Teacher`, `Preventive System of Education`, ``Paradigm Shift, `Class Room Management etc. The methodology included group activities, presentations, role plays, individual and group sharing.
The responses from the teachers` were very encouraging, quoting Shahnawaz Alam (Electrical Instructor, Kuarmunda) who said, ``this training program helped me in identifying some of my potentials that I could now use to become a better facilitator and friend of the trainees instead of a traditional teacher approach``.
