Around 250 children and young people from neighbouring parishes and villages gathered at St. Paul’s Regional Seminary on Sunday for the annual Oratory Day and Youth Fest, a vibrant programme that blended prayer, learning, recreation, and community fellowship. The event was organized with the active leadership and coordination of the Salesian Co-operators, whose dedicated involvement proved central to its smooth execution and impact.

The day began with a prayer service that set a reflective and faith-filled tone for the gathering. This was followed by a carefully planned schedule of formative activities designed to nurture spiritual awareness and personal growth among participants. A major highlight of the programme was the Bible examination, conducted and supervised by the Salesian Co-operators. Designed to be both engaging and educational, the examination encouraged young participants to deepen their familiarity with Sacred Scripture while offering an opportunity to assess their understanding in a supportive environment.

Beyond the academic component, the Youth Fest featured group activities and recreational events that promoted fellowship, teamwork, and wholesome interaction. The Salesian Co-operators were actively involved throughout the day—facilitating sessions, managing logistics, and ensuring that the programme unfolded in an atmosphere conducive to learning and celebration.

The Co-operators also took responsibility for sponsoring and organizing meals for all participants, demonstrating a strong spirit of hospitality and care. Their contribution enabled the seminary to host the large gathering efficiently while maintaining a firm focus on its formative and pastoral objectives.

According to the organizers, the Oratory Day and Youth Fest were intended to strengthen faith formation, encourage healthy recreation, and foster a sense of belonging in a safe, value-based setting. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes and words of appreciation for participants and volunteers, reaffirming the importance of collaborative youth ministry initiatives in nurturing spiritual growth and community among young people.
