Salesian Family in Hyderabad Reaffirms Mission to Youth at Annual Spirituality Days

The Salesian Province of Hyderabad organized its annual Salesian Family Spirituality Days on February 14–15 at the Don Bosco Provincial House, drawing 76 participants from across the Salesian Family, including priests, sisters, cooperators, and past pupils.
The two-day gathering served as a platform to renew commitment to youth ministry, strengthen vocation promotion, and reflect on leadership transition within the province. The programme was inaugurated at Dream Park by Rev. Fr. Thomas Santiagu, who called on participants to deepen unity and collaboration in carrying forward Don Bosco’s mission of holistic formation for young people.
Key reflections centred on the Rector Major’s Strenna, “Do Whatever He Tells You – Believers, Free to Serve,” alongside commemorations marking the 150th anniversary of the Association of the Salesian Cooperators under the theme “A Dream – A Promise – The Future.” Sessions also highlighted the inspirational lives of St. Maria Troncatti and St. Maria Domenica Mazzarello, and revisited Don Bosco’s enduring role as catechist and spiritual guide.
Both days were punctuated by prayer, Eucharistic celebrations, and opportunities for reconciliation, fostering a reflective, spiritually enriching atmosphere. Group discussions focused on strengthening youth ministry initiatives, promoting vocations, organizing youth pilgrimages, and reviewing ongoing programmes while identifying future priorities.
The Spirituality Days concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to accompany young people—especially the most vulnerable—and to enhance collaboration across the Salesian Family in the province, renewing their shared resolve to serve with faith, freedom, and dedication.
