DHISHA Don Bosco, a career guidance and job placement centre of the Province of St Joseph, Hyderabad, organised the HR Summit 2026 on February 20, bringing together industry representatives and college placement officers to strengthen collaboration for enhancing employment opportunities for trained and underprivileged youth.
Around 250 children and young people from neighbouring parishes and villages gathered at St. Paul’s Regional Seminary on Sunday for the annual Oratory Day and Youth Fest, a vibrant programme that blended prayer, learning, recreation, and community fellowship. The event was organized with the active leadership and coordination of the Salesian Co-operators, whose dedicated involvement proved central to its smooth execution and impact.
Salesians Engage in Three-Day Formation on Psychosexual Integrity and Celibate Maturity in Hyderabad
A large-scale job drive was successfully conducted at Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute, Kadapa, on January 28, in collaboration with the National Career Service (NCS) and the Andhra Pradesh Skill Development Corporation(APSDC). The initiative aimed at creating meaningful employment opportunities for skilled youth across the region.
ECHOES 2026, a province-level youth formation initiative of the Salesian Youth Movement under the Province of St Joseph, Hyderabad, was successfully conducted at BIRDY Hyderabad from 25 to 27 January. The three-day programme brought together young participants from various Salesian presences across Telangana for an intensive leadership training, learning, and personal formation programme.
Don Bosco Karunapuram observed Salesian Brothers’ Day with a meaningful and faith-filled celebration on Monday, January 26, highlighting the significance of brotherhood within the Salesian Congregation. Don Bosco College, Narsipatnam, held its third Past Pupils’ Meeting on January 18, bringing together 70 registered alumni in a spirit of fellowship and renewed commitment to the institution's growth and service to society. The gathering reaffirmed the enduring bond between the college and its former students, highlighting alumni as partners in the college’s academic and social mission.
The Don Bosco Philosophate, Karunapuram, and the Sacred Heart Pre-Novitiate marked a significant moment in their formation journey with the visit of Fr. Silvio Roggia, SDB, General Councillor for Formation of the Salesian Congregation, on January 6 and 7. The visit formed part of his wider formative and fraternal animation tour aimed at strengthening Salesian formation communities in the region. He was accompanied by Fr. Jose Kuttiyanamattathil, SDB, a collaborator in formation ministry at the congregational level.
The Young Priests’ Quinquennium Meeting of the Province of St Joseph (INH) was held on 11–12 November at Don Bosco PARA (People’s Action for Rural Awakening), Ravulapalem, where 30 young priests gathered for two days of reflection on Indian constitutional values, pastoral responsibility, and youth engagement. The meet sought to strengthen their commitment to justice, liberty, equality and fraternity—values central to both the Indian Constitution and the Church’s mission.
Don Bosco Junior College, Chandur, came alive with nostalgia, gratitude, and laughter as nearly 200 alumni gathered for a grand Past Pupils' Meet on November 8. The event celebrated decades of Salesian education, lifelong friendships, and the enduring values imparted by the Salesians of Don Bosco.
