About 1,200 girl students took part in an International Youth Day 2026 celebration organised by the JMJ Subodha Centre, Pastoral and Evangelisation Centre, at St Joseph’s College for Women, JMJ Nagar, Kurnool-2, on August 7. The Salesians of the Hyderabad Province animated the programme, which focused on empowering young women to understand their rights, address contemporary challenges and contribute to a more inclusive society.

This workshop was held as the SIR process continues in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, with civil society groups focused on ensuring electoral accuracy.
