Don Bosco Tech Society, in partnership with CCSE and supported by Sungrow India Pvt. Ltd., has launched a Solar PV training initiative in Najafgarh to equip 30 youth with green skills and employment pathways. Formalised through an MoU on 2 April 2026, the five-month program integrates technical training, life skills, and placement support to promote sustainable livelihoods.
The collaboration was initiated at Okhla, New Delhi, in the presence of representatives from both organisations. The MoU was signed by Mr Debopam Mukherjee, Trustee, CCSE, and Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director, Don Bosco Tech Society. Sungrow India Pvt. Ltd. supports the initiative under the project titled “Advancing Green Jobs Through Solar PV Skill Development.”
The program aims to train 30 youth from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Najafgarh, Delhi, equipping them with industry-relevant skills in Solar PV Installation and Operations and Maintenance. Designed to respond to the growing demand in the renewable energy sector, the training integrates hands-on technical learning with life skills and workplace readiness.
The initiative will be implemented over five months from April to August 2026, following a structured model that includes mobilisation, training delivery, assessment, and placement support. This end-to-end approach ensures a clear pathway from skill acquisition to sustainable employment.
Under the partnership, Don Bosco Tech will lead on-ground implementation, including mobilisation, training delivery, and placement facilitation. CCSE and Sungrow India Pvt. Ltd. will provide technical inputs, industry linkages, and overall program support, strengthening the alignment between training outcomes and industry requirements.
Stakeholders have highlighted the initiative's relevance to addressing the growing need for skilled professionals in the renewable energy sector. The program also expands access to specialised green skills training for underserved youth, enabling them to participate in emerging livelihood opportunities.
