The introductory words during the Eucharist were given by Fr. Jayapalan. In which he stated on Fr. Arul`s simple lifestyle, sincere relationship and about his concern for the others. The homily was preached by Fr. Lourdusamy, highlighting the importance of the gospel which signifies the role of a good shepherd. He also shared his experience and the resemblance of the good shepherd`s character to Fr. Arulanandam. The community organized a felicitation program which followed the Eucharistic celebration. The dignitaries from the neighbouring community took part in this celebration. During the felicitation Fr. Provincial shared that he had chosen Fr. Arulanandam for his fatherly quality which is a highlight of his personality. Fr. Arulanandam is known for his love towards the poor and his concern towards the marginalized. Fr. Provincial also added that the decision is well scrutinized, for the house is very dear to his heart and for being his own mother house. At present the house is with 263 inmates who are from deserving backgrounds. The boys were happy to know that their rector was meant for them and God`s will was done through Fr. Provincial by posting Fr. Arulanandam as Rector to this community.
