In Unity and Mission: Mumbai–Panjim Provincial Councils Chart the Way Forward
The joint meeting of the Provincial Councils of the Mumbai (Bombay) and Panjim-Konkan Provinces was held at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel, Goa, on February 10. The meeting commenced with a formal welcome extended by Provincial of the Panjim Province, Father Clive Telles, to Provincial of the Mumbai Province, Father Ashley Miranda, and the councillors. The day-long meeting provided an opportunity for the two provinces to share best practices in animation and governance implemented in their respective regions. The councils also presented new initiatives undertaken in the mission, highlighting creative pastoral approaches in youth ministry.
Province Catechetical Day Empowers Students to Shine with Faith and Rise with Hope
A total of 187 students from nine Don Bosco educational institutions of the Salesian Province of Panjim-Konkan, spanning three dioceses, gathered at the Don Bosco Oratory on February 13 for the Province Catechetical Day. Centred on the theme “Shine with Faith, Rise with Hope,” the day offered teenage participants a rich blend of prayer, reflection, joy, and fellowship.
First Sea-Scout Wing in Northeast India Launched at Don Bosco School, Panbazar
In a historic milestone for the scouting movement in Northeast India, the Don Bosco District Association, Guwahati, officially inaugurated the region’s first-ever Sea-Scout Wing at Don Bosco School, Panbazar, on Sunday, February 15. The landmark initiative positions the district at the forefront of expanding scouting's scope and vision in the Northeast.
