The Don Bosco Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia [SPCSA] Assembly is currently in progress from 01 to 03 September 2020 via the virtual medium. Convoked under the leadership of the SPCSA President Father Biju Michael, South Asia Regional Councillor, 40 Salesians are participating in this virtual assembly including Province Delegates and South Asia Sector and Dimenison Coordinators, apart from the Provincials of the South Asia region.

Father Ángel Fernández Artime, the Rector Major invites the Salesians, the members of the Salesian Family, and the young people to renew their trusting faith in Mary Help of Christians, during the Corona Virus pandemic, following the example of Don Bosco in similar circumstances. Father Artime proposes an extraordinary novena from 15-23 March concluding with the monthly commemoration of Mary Help of Christians on 24 March, with a prayer of entrustment.

Father Stefano Vanoli, Moderator General Chapter 28 in his pre-Chapter `good night` on 15 February 2020 at the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians said, ``We are in Valdocco, we are from Valdocco`` not as a mere statement, but also as a greeting of welcome for the Salesians, Daughters of Mary Help of Christians and lay faithful arriving in Turin-Valdocco as participants, reminding them that it is a return to Valdocco after 62 years. The General Chapter 28, with its significantly `biblical 07` week-duration, with the 242 Capitulars, representing the 7 Regions, comprising of 66 nationalities engaged in active youth ministry in over 130 countries, is intensely seeking answers to the question ``What type/kind of Salesians for the young people of today?`` till it concludes on 04 April. GC 28 is expected to be a General Chapter that will provide renewed strength of purpose to the vocation and charismatic identity of Don Bosco`s disciples.

The XIV Provincial Chapter of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore was off to a glittering start at the Kristu Jyoti College Auditorium in Bangalore on Sunday 28th May, 2019. In the presence of 95 delegates, 14 observers and the moderator Father Sivy Koroth, Father Joyce Thonikuzhiyil, Salesian Provincial of Bangalore declared the Provincial Chapter open. Sister Celine Jacob the provincial of the FMAs Bangalore, Sister Reji Chacko, the provincial of the Missionary Sisters of Mary Help of Christians (MSMHC), Sister Carol Kuttiyanikal the provincial of the sisters of Mary Immaculate (SMI), the province level delegates of the different members of the Salesian family such as co-operators, past pupils, VDB and ADMA, were present on the occasion and felicitated the gathering.

The XIII Provincial Chapter of the Sacred Heart Province of Bangalore was declared open by Father Joyce Thonikuzhiyil SDB, the provincial of Bangalore.The chapter commenced with the solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by Father Provincial and the provincial councilors assisting him at the altar. The inaugural ceremony proper began at 9.00 am at Kristu Jyoti college, Bangalore.

The 27th General Chapter ended today, 12 April. The Rector Major, Fr Angel Fernandez Artime, described the Chapter as ``a real time of grace and presence of the Spirit.`` In his concluding talk he reminded the Congregation of the three core themes of GC27: mystics in the Spirit, prophets of fraternity, servants of the young.
