The 5th Provincial Chapter of St. John Paul II, Shillong Province commenced with spiritual reflection and an inaugural ceremony. The day began with a recollection animated by Fr. Bernard Pala SDB. Fr. Joy Kachapilly SDB, the animator of the event, detailed the chapter theme, "Passionate about Jesus Christ, dedicated to young people." The recollection culminated with the Divine Mercy Chaplet and Holy Eucharist presided over by Fr. John Zosiama SDB, the Provincial.

Amidst a tapestry of vibrant traditions and devout reverence, the Aspirants of Dankotuwa, embarked on a jubilant journey to honor their beloved patron, St. Dominic Savio, on 5^th May. The pinnacle of the day's festivities was the High Mass, presided over by the Provincial Reverend Father Roshan Miranda SDB, LKC Province. As hymns soared and prayers ascended, the sanctity of the occasion enveloped all in attendance, weaving a tapestry of divine grace and celestial harmony.

In a religious ceremony at the Shrine of St. John Bosco Sohra Parish, 30 novices from the Shillong Province and Guwahati Provinces donned their cassocks on 5th May. The occasion was graced by Fr. John Zosiama (INS Provincia) during the Eucharist, accompanied by Fr. Januarius Sangma, the former Provincial of Guwahati Province, and Father Stephan Kharbani, the Parish priest of the Shrine, with Fathers from Don Bosco Sunnyside Novitiate.
