Pastoral Communication Course to be effective Leaders at KJC, Bangalore begins

The Pastoral Communication Course, first of its kind in Asia, started at Kristu Jyoti College, Bangalore with 30 participants from India and abroad on January 7, 2017. The duration of the course is for three months, integrated with theory and practice. The course was inaugurated with the lighting of 50 lamps digitally by the participants to mark the occasion of the Golden Jubilee of Kristu Jyoti College.
Father Jude Poopana, Principal of KJC, welcomed the participants and stressed on integrating theology and communication in `theologization.` Father Alex Kalathikattil sdb, Vice Rector of the community at KJC, in his message communicated the need for making communication as the identity of the Church and her Ministers today. "The course is not meant to make anyone technocrats or professionals in communication or any media. That is possible and available in the society. But, we focus on our pastoral ministry to make them more effective," said Fr. Gilbert Choondal sdb, Coordinator of the Course, while introducing the dynamics of the course.
