Mr. Amarr Prabhu, Principal of Don Bosco Industrial Training Institute (DBITI), Kurla, was honoured with the Outstanding Leadership Award at the prestigious EGN (Education Growth Network) Education Leadership Summit & Awards. The ceremony, held at Four Points by Sheraton, celebrated the remarkable contributions of educators shaping India’s educational landscape.

The annual summit brought together senior policymakers, eminent educationists, and key stakeholders from across the country for a day of dialogue, networking, and recognition. With the theme “Focus on Education Growth – Believe, Achieve, Succeed,” this year’s event highlighted excellence, innovation, and education leadership. The EGN Awards are designed to honour “education heroes” while providing a platform to address pressing challenges in the sector.

Panel discussions during the summit focused on innovative educational practices, leadership’s role in student development, and the need for a holistic framework that moves beyond textbooks to prepare learners for the complexities of today’s world.

Mr. Prabhu’s award was conferred during a gala ceremony attended by prominent figures from academia and the government. Expressing his gratitude, he remarked, “I am humbled to receive this award, which I accept on behalf of the entire Don Bosco ITI community. Our collective commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence is what truly makes our institution shine.”

The recognition marks a significant milestone not only for Mr. Prabhu but also for DBITI-Kurla, reaffirming its reputation as a leader in technical and vocational education. It underscores the institution’s alignment with the Salesian mission to empower young people through skill-building and value-based education.

By earning this national recognition, DBITI-Kurla strengthens its resolve to continue innovating and shaping students into “nation builders whose character, spirit, and energy shape the destiny of nations.”
