Salesian Alumnus Leads EKTA Health Camp, Strengthening Community Ties
In a graceful demonstration of social responsibility and alumni engagement, the Alumni Association of Salesian College Siliguri, in partnership with the Lions Club of Siliguri Unchai, organized a free community health check-up camp titled “EKTA HEALTH” at the Don Bosco Block ground floor.
The health camp provided essential medical consultations and diagnostic services, including ECGs, blood pressure and haemoglobin checks, diabetes screenings, and general consultations. Attendees also received free generic medicines.
The initiative, spearheaded by active alumni and supported by healthcare professionals, benefited 65 patients from the surrounding community. It not only promoted health awareness but also showcased the enduring bond between Salesian alumni and their alma mater’s mission of holistic community development.
The camp drew praise from attendees and local residents alike, reflecting the Alumni Association’s continued commitment to public service and the Lions Club’s dedication to healthcare outreach.
