News written by: Cl. RAPHAEL John Avinash SDB

In a spirit of profound gratitude and celebration, the Salesian Province of New Delhi gathered at the Don Bosco Provincial House to mark the Diamond, Golden, and Silver Jubilees of the priestly ordination and Religious Profession of several confreres. The event paid homage to the enduring commitment of these men, who have dedicated their lives to service in the Church, the Congregation, and especially to the young, in the spirit of St. John Bosco.

The celebration was a joyful testament to God's unwavering call and the courageous "yes" given by the jubilarians, whose lives stand as beacons of hope, fidelity, and missionary zeal. In his address, Fr. Davis Maniparamben, Provincial, hailed the occasion as a sacred moment of reflection and thanksgiving. "Each one of you is a witness that holiness is possible, and love rooted in Christ endures and bears fruit," he said.

A spiritual retreat marked the week leading up to the Jubilee for the Rectors and Leaders of the Province. Held at the Provincial House, the retreat provided a time of silence, prayer, and interior renewal, setting a reflective tone for the celebration that followed.

The heart of the day was the solemn Holy Eucharist, concelebrated by Fr. Kuriakose Adichirayil, one of the Diamond Jubilarians, alongside Fr. Provincial and the other jubilarians. The Mass, filled with reverence and joy, served as a powerful expression of gratitude for lives well-lived in service of the Gospel.

The Jubilarians Honoured:

• Diamond Jubilee of Priestly Ordination:
Fr. Kuriakose Adichirayil, Fr. Paul Padamattumel

• Diamond Jubilee of Religious Profession:
Fr. Thomas Anjilikuzhiyil

• Golden Jubilee of Religious Profession:

A vibrant cultural programme and felicitation ceremony followed the Eucharistic celebration. Songs, dances, and heartfelt messages added colour and warmth to the gathering. The presence of family members, fellow Salesians, and well-wishers created an atmosphere of community and celebration.

The day concluded with a fellowship meal, where laughter, shared stories, and a deep sense of unity echoed the Salesian charism. It was a day to remember—honouring lives rooted in faith, service, and the enduring joy of the Gospel.
