Book on 'Encountering Christ in the Eucharist' Released
Authored by Fr. Raphael Maiong SDB, the book titled "Encountering Christ in the Eucharist" was released by Fr. Thiewbor Kharsyntiew, Principal of Sacred Heart Boys' Higher Secondary School, Mawlai, at a function held at the Don Bosco Youth Centre, Shillong.
"This book is not a product of a moment, but of many years of questions, reflections, and study—particularly of Church documents during my doctoral research," said Father Maiong. "It addresses a wide range of questions and answers about the Liturgy, the Sacraments, and various Catholic rituals."
Fr. Raphael Maiong, a Doctorate in Liturgy, is currently the Director of ITLR and also serves as a professor at Sacred Heart Theological College. Father Maiong shared that the book is a product of years of dedicated academic inquiry, pastoral engagement, and dialogue with young people, primarily through seminars and catechetical programs.
The book seeks to bridge the gap between liturgical theology and pastoral understanding, aiming to make the richness of the Church's worship accessible and meaningful to clergy, catechists, youth, and the lay faithful.
'Encountering Christ in the Eucharist' is now available at Sacred Heart Theological College, Media World, Don Bosco Provincial House, Mathias Institute, and other Catholic bookstores.
