Sepahijala District Administration Felicitates St. Xavier's School Band
On the occasion of "National Girl Child Day," the Sepahijala District administration, Tripura, along with the District Education Office, felicitated St. Xavier's School Band Team during a grand function held at the multi-purpose hall, Bishramganj, on February 17. The school band team consisted of 25 girls and were felicitated by the administration for winning the Third Prize at the National Level School Band Competition held in Delhi on January 22 and bringing laurels to the state of Tripura. It was a great honour for the students for their dedication and hard work.
The programme was organized to encourage and motivate girls to excel in everything they do in life. The function was graced by dignitaries from the district administration and education department who spoke and addressed the students on the importance of gender equality and girl-child empowerment. Many girls from different schools who excelled in various sporting and cultural events in the state were also felicitated during the function. The school band team felt honoured and appreciated for their hard work. The students were accompanied by Mr Shanti, Ms Roseline and Ms Priyanka Debbarma. The felicitation consisted of the presentation of gifts to individual players and a memento for the school.
