Inter School Don Bosco Football Tournament attracts young players and football enthusiasts
The 7th Inter School Don Bosco Football Tournament 2023 held at Bharoul Don Bosco School from October 1 to 13 was an exhilarating competition honing the playing skills of four hundred young football players. The tournament originated in 2015 and is an annual feature of the Don Bosco Centre and an event of the region and season. The event aims to bring unity and collaboration among the schools of the region.
Hundreds of football enthusiasts watched the 25 teams play in two categories of high school and higher secondary school levels.
Each day’s match had a cultural programme with a prominent person as the chief guest.
The two teams from Don Bosco entered the final of both categories, becoming the winner and runner of the High School section and the Higher Secondary section respectively.
The hard work and organizational skills of the Salesians and the staff of the school made it a memorable event in the area.
The five Salesians serving at Bharoul Don Bosco School and Morning Star School form a single community. These two presences are part of the nine Salesian presences that Salesians have in Nepal, which is on the way to forming a separate delegation after being active in Nepal for the past 31 years.
