Salesian Co-operators of Karnataka Region discuss Gender Equity

Representatives of Karanataka Region Salesian Cooperators` Units gathered at Don Bosco Provincial House on 17, 18 September 2016, to discuss the theme,`Formation and Gender Equity`, which was proposed by national gathering of co-operators at New Delhi some months back. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Mr. Stanislaus, the Coordinator of Karanataka region, along with Fr. Gilbert Choondal sdb, Provincial Delegate of Salesian Cooperators and Fr. Jude Ananad, Delegate of the Karnataka Region.

There were 18 participants from various units of the region. The first day was dedicated to mutual sharing of activities of the units that inspired all the participants for the variety of youth work, social work, family ministries undertaken by units of the region. The first day ended with prayer service on Stations of Mercy conducted by Fr. Gilbert. The second day witnessed sharing of themes, Formation, Gender Equity and Solidarity. These topics were presented by Fr. Jude, Fr. Gilbert and Mr. Amalanathan respectively. The participants had an open discussion on revamping units with relevant activities. Mr. Stanslaus thanked the gathering for their active participation.
