A Handbook of Salesian Youth Ministry released
A Handbook of Salesian Youth Ministry, authored by Father (Dr) Barnes Mawrie sdb, was released by Father Paul O Lyngkot sdb, the Salesian Provincial of St. John Paul II, Shillong Province, in the presence of the Vice Provincial and other leaders of institutions within Mawlai region on October 23.
The book is a concrete way of helping youth animators familiarize themselves with the most effective method of educating the youth. It is dedicated to the Salesians who have toiled in the North East India. The Provincial who gave the foreword to the book congratulated the author. From his part, Father Barnes too thanked the Provincial and the Province Youth Delegate for providing all necessary help in publishing the book.
Father Barnes Mawrie has a double PhD in Anthropology and Youth Pastoral and Catechetics from UPS, Rome. He has written more than 30 books and more than a hundred scholarly articles. Father Mawrie had been the youth Delegate of the undivided Guwahati Province. Currently, he is the Director of the Vendrame Institute of Rural Training and Animation Services, Mawpdang.
