Don Bosco Aspirantate, Lonavla, welcomed over 32 Class 10 boys for its annual “Come & See Camp” held on September 20–21. Participants came from parishes in Mumbai, Vasai, Virar, Pune, Vadodara, and Alirajpur, eager to experience the Salesian way of life through prayer, discernment, fellowship, and witness.

The two-day residential programme immersed the boys in community living, blending spiritual reflection with moments of recreation and fraternity. The camp featured five core sessions, each addressing a key aspect of Salesian formation.

Fr. Avil Correa opened with “The Salesian Spirit: Joy, Friendship & Service,” highlighting the values that shaped Don Bosco’s mission. In the next session, “Meeting Jesus Daily: Prayer & Sacraments,” Fr. Kiran Salve emphasized the centrality of prayer and sacraments in nurturing spiritual growth.

Fr. Blany Pinto conducted “Don Bosco’s Story: Dream Big, Live Bold,” presenting the founder’s life as a model of courage and vision. He also animated “A Path Unfolding,” where current aspirants shared their vocational journeys, offering younger participants a glimpse of life in formation. Br. Royston Colaco concluded with “God’s Eternal Plan: Discovering My Vocation,” encouraging discernment as a personal response to God’s call.

Together, the sessions reflected five guiding movements of the Salesian path: inspiration from Don Bosco’s life, witness through testimonies, discernment of vocation, spirituality rooted in prayer, and identity anchored in the Salesian spirit.

Beyond formal sessions, participants engaged in group activities, liturgies, meals, and recreation, fostering an atmosphere of joy and belonging. The camp offered not only knowledge but also a lived experience of Salesian community life, leaving the young participants inspired to reflect more deeply on their vocation.
