The Don Bosco Oratory came alive with colour, joy and youthful enthusiasm as 100 children gathered at Don Bosco High School for a special Season of Creation activity dedicated to caring for the environment.

The afternoon opened with groups of youngsters brainstorming and designing eco-posters that carried powerful messages of responsibility toward the planet. Using paper, paints, and recycled materials, the children brought their ideas to life through striking visuals and slogans such as “Don’t Be Mean, Go Green” and “Save Our Earth.”

After completing their artwork, each team confidently presented their poster to the Oratory community. They explained the meaning behind their creations and offered practical suggestions for safeguarding the environment—reducing waste, planting trees, conserving water, and using resources wisely. Their creativity and conviction echoed Pope Francis’ call in Laudato Si’ to care for “our common home.”

The event’s setting—on the colourful staircase crowned by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus—served as a reminder that faith and action go hand in hand. Loving God, the children expressed, also means cherishing His creation.

The celebration concluded with a collective pledge from all participants to adopt simple, eco-friendly habits in daily life. Organizers noted that the initiative not only showcased the children’s artistic talents but also planted seeds of ecological awareness in their hearts.

The Season of Creation at Don Bosco Oratory stood as a testament to how even small voices and hands can inspire significant changes in building a more sustainable world.
