Don Bosco Nashik Hosts Seminar on Life Skills and Balanced Living
Don Bosco School and Junior College, Nashik, organized a seminar for Classes 9 to 12 and staff members, led by entrepreneur Mr Allwyn Quadros, who works in the construction field with a focus on turf courts. The session aimed to equip participants with essential life skills and awareness to navigate the challenges of modern life, while promoting discipline, emotional intelligence, and balance.
Mr Quadros began by addressing Conflict Resolution, encouraging students to manage disagreements with empathy, patience, and communication. He emphasized that resolving conflicts peacefully is a vital skill during adolescence.
The session then turned to Financial Literacy, where he explained the importance of saving, budgeting, and making informed financial decisions, which was particularly relevant for students preparing for adulthood.
A pressing concern, Social Media and Gaming, was also discussed. Mr Quadros highlighted the addictive nature of screens and urged students to adopt responsible digital habits, encouraging them to strike a balance between online engagement and real-life connections.
He further inspired the audience with insights on Acceptance of Weakness, urging them to embrace imperfections as opportunities for growth. He also emphasized building knowledge beyond textbooks through curiosity, reading, and discussion.
Highlighting the importance of Family Time, he encouraged participants to nurture family bonds as a source of stability and support. The seminar concluded with a call to live consciously through an Alternative Way of Life, marked by purpose, simplicity, and gratitude.
