Marian Night 2025: Walking with Mary in Hope and Faith
Don Bosco School, Oros, hosted a moving celebration of faith and fellowship with its annual Marian Night, organized by the youth of Oros and Ranbambuli. The evening brought together around 82 participants, including children and young people from Kudal Parish, joined by priests and nuns, all united in devotion to Mother Mary under the theme “Walking with Mary in Hope and Faith.”
The event opened with a solemn candlelit procession, where children carried lighted candles in reverence. At its center, Rector Father Paul D’Souza bore the statue of Mother Mary, symbolizing unity and faith within the parish community. Following the procession, Father D’Souza officially inaugurated the Marian Evening, urging participants to engage wholeheartedly in the night’s activities.
The program combined prayer, learning, and joyful celebration. Marian-themed games encouraged participants to deepen their knowledge of Mary’s life, while a Marian Quiz tested their understanding of her virtues and role in the Church. Creative contests added colour and enthusiasm to the evening, with a Table Decoration Competition inspired by Marian symbols and a Hymn Singing Competition that filled the air with songs of devotion. Among the competing groups, Team Seat of Wisdom emerged as the winner.
A highlight of the evening was the celebration of Rector’s Day, during which the youth honoured Father D’Souza with gratitude and affection, marking the occasion with heartfelt appreciation.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Father Melwin Ferrao, Youth Director, who acknowledged the efforts of organizers, volunteers, and participants in making the evening meaningful. A fellowship dinner followed, fostering a spirit of unity and joy among the gathering.
