Salesian Province of Chennai showcases Celebration of Faith
The Evangelization and Catechetical Centre of the Salesian Province of Chennai, Deepagam, organized 'Let’s Celebrate Faith' on October 29 at Don Bosco, Katpadi, under the guidance and leadership of Father Jesudoss, the Director of Deepagam. More than 2000 children, youth, adults, Salesians and the Salesian Co-operators attended the event.
With the purpose of rekindling the flames of faith and bringing together a diverse tapestry of individuals in a celebration, the Provincial of Chennai Province, Father Don Bosco with Father John Alex, Vice-Provincial, Provincial Councillors, Rectors and Leaders of Vellore Region, inaugurated the event.
The day saw praise and worship, moments of adoration, the Sacrament of reconciliation, cultural shows, soul-stirring music, riveting Biblical characterizations, and captivating exhibitions presented by the various communities hailing from the Vellore region.
The event culminated with the solemn Eucharistic celebration by Father Don Bosco with over 40 priests. Father Jesudoss preached on the love of God and the love of neighbour. A Bible was given to every Christian family and the youth with a youth Catechism book and the children with their Catechism book. Father John Alexander, the Vice Provincial, announced the next venue for the celebration of faith at the prestigious Sacred Heart College in Tirupattur. Father Sundar, Rector of Don Bosco, Katpadi, steered the event to a resounding success.
