Quiz on ‘Dream that Makes You Dream’
Don Bosco Chinthnaloka, Sri Lanka, the Post-Novitiate Community in the Vice Province of Sri Lanka (LKC), organized the Don Bosco quiz in Sinhala medium on 27th April on the theme of the Strenna of the Salesian Family, “Dream that makes you dream”. Young people from six Salesian communities of Palliyawatha, Dankotuwa- Juniors and Seniors, Arabegama, Uswetakeiyawa and Nochchiyagama took part in the quiz.
The communities were given the quiz booklets two months before and the date was fixed for the programme. The students were accompanied by the Salesians and the staff of their respective communities. The entire competition took a new shape with the creativity brought in by the young organizers. The format had written exams, group rounds, individual rounds, singing competitions and drama competitions.
The prizes were awarded according to each category and overall winners were declared. The first position was taken by Palliyawatha, the runner-up by the team of Dankotuwa Seniors (Salesian Aspirantate) and the third position by the Arambegama Community.
Rev. Fr. Paul Sajeewaka SDB (Vice Provincial) who was present for the occasion shared a message on knowing Don Bosco and loving Don Bosco. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Fernando SDB and the young confreres deserve great applause for organizing the event.
