Speaking on the occasion, Father Michael quoting the story of Noah from the Bible said, this house is the arch build on the trust and faithfulness to God. Addressing the gathering, Father Felix Fernandes, former Provincial of the Panjim-Konkan Province, said, “If I may describe this newly constructed Provincial house in one word, it is ‘miracle’.  And my message to you this evening is, Our God is a living God, have faith in Him and you will see what wonders He does in your life.  In the course of planning and building this house, we have seen the mighty hand of God from the day we laid the foundation on the feast of Saint Francis de Sales in 2020”.

Father Fernandes thanked Miss Anita Pinto for being God’s instrument of Divine Providence and the major benefactor who contributed over half the expenses for the construction of the provincial house.  Father Fernandes thanked explicitly the Provincial and the Salesians of Bombay Province for their contribution towards the construction of the Provincial house.  He also thanked the numerous benefactors who came forward to assist them.

Speaking on the occasion, Provincial of Panjim-Konkan, Father Clive Telles acknowledged Father Francisco Martin’s Family who donated the 20 acres land in 1948. He thanked the Rector Major Cardinal Ángel Fernández Artime for the permission and the financial help, Regional Father Biju Michael for blessing and inaugurating the newly constructed Provincial House, the Salesians Provincials of South Asia, Salesians, benefactors and well-wishers.  He thanked the Economer Father Francis Silveira, for all the hard work put in for the execution of the construction.

Rector, Father Anthony Alemao, welcomed the gathering and Assistant Director of Konkan Development Office, Father Joel D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.  Vice Provincial Father Banzelao Teixeira, Father Simao Fernandes and Father Ralin De Souza also spoke on the occasion. The Economer Father Francis Silveira felicitated the technical team for their assistance in executing the construction of the Provincial House at Odxel.
