BREADS (Bangalore Rural Education And Development Society) and Kerala State Commission for the Protection of Child Rights (KSCPCR) jointly organised a State-level Stakeholders’ Workshop on February 29 in Thiruvananthapuram to discuss the status of substance use among the youth in Kerala and the measures needed to address the issue. The Workshop facilitated the active participation of 178 stakeholders from government departments and NGOs.
In view of the Silver Jubilee Celebration of the Tiruchy Province, a state-level symposium was organized in Tiruchy on the 23rd and 24th of February. The Symposium follows a year-long impact study on the various sectors of the Province. The results and recommendations of this study formed the basis for the Symposium to take stock of what has been and to visualize what is next. The Symposium was attended by about 150 participants from the Tiruchy Salesian Province, the Province of Chennai and the members of the Salesian family.
2nd March 2024 will be a day to remember for the members of BOSCOM (Salesian Media Network of South Asia) as it marked the launching of its new initiative the "Luminata" project. There were over 60 participants present online from across South Asia consisting of Salesian Social Communication delegates of provinces, members of the Provincial Social Communication Commission, FMA and other Salesian family of Media Animators and various Lay members involved in the media ministry.
A Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Compliance and Strategy workshop on March 1st in Nitika Don Bosco drew over 80 hopeful fund seekers from Kolkata and districts. Organised with meticulous care and dedication, a one-day seminar on mental well-being with the theme “Healthy Minds, Healthy Lives” unfolded at the esteemed Don Bosco Institute, Kharguli, Guwahati. The event drew a diverse crowd, including priests, religious, teachers, university students, youth leaders, staff, and lay leaders from various parishes and Salesian centres. Led by Fr. Marcus, the Youth Commission delegate of the Province of Guwahati, the event commenced with an aura of warmth and reverence as distinguished guests and esteemed resource persons were welcomed with traditional ‘phoolan gamochas’ and bouquets.
The confreres of the Salesian Province of Panjim Konkan gathered to mark the triple celebrations of Provincial Community Day, jubilees and felicitation of the new Priests at Mount Don Bosco, Tuem, Goa on February 26.
The new Don Bosco Secondary School building under the care of Sonapahar Parish in Nongkyndang village, Shillong, was blessed on February 25, by Father Paul O Lyngkot, the Provincial of Shillong Province, with Father James Thyrniang, the Economer of the Province, Father Sebastian Tirkey, the Parish Priest and numerous priests, religious, youth, parents and students.

Don Bosco Vazhikaatti, in collaboration with Don Bosco Arts and Science College, Surabi, Maestro and TECH Mahindra Foundation and DB Job, marked a significant milestone by organizing the HR Summit 2024 on February 20 with the theme, Reforming Industry by Transforming the Youth. The Summit, held at Don Bosco Arts and Science College, garnered attention from enthusiastic youths representing various colleges and HR managers.
On the occasion of "National Girl Child Day," the Sepahijala District administration, Tripura, along with the District Education Office, felicitated St. Xavier's School Band Team during a grand function held at the multi-purpose hall, Bishramganj, on February 17. The school band team consisted of 25 girls and were felicitated by the administration for winning the Third Prize at the National Level School Band Competition held in Delhi on January 22 and bringing laurels to the state of Tripura. It was a great honour for the students for their dedication and hard work.

The event, titled "Four-Year UG Programme: Guidelines for Implementation," took place at the esteemed Don Bosco College Angadikadavu on February 17.
The Salesian Provincial Conference South Asia (SPCSA) convened its highly anticipated Assembly and Council at Don Bosco Provincial House, Matunga, Mumbai, from February 8th to 11th, 2024. This significant event brought together esteemed Provincials from India's 11 provinces and the Vice Province of Sri Lanka, Provincial Delegates, Network and Dimension Heads, with specially invited members totalling 42 participants.
