Salesian Student Leaders Gather for Leadership Workshop at Odxel
Sixty elected student leaders from Salesian schools across the Province of Panjim-Konkan took part in a one-day Student-Leader Workshop at the Don Bosco Provincial House, Odxel, on June 25, focusing on leadership, collaboration, and strengthening their Salesian identity.
Fr. Ralin De Souza, SDB, Provincial Councillor for Youth Ministry and Rector of Don Bosco Engineering College, Fatorda, facilitated the workshop through a series of interactive sessions and group activities.
Addressing the young leaders, Fr. De Souza reminded them that they belong to a mission much larger than their individual schools. Referring to the Salesian mission's worldwide presence in 134 countries, he encouraged them to recognise themselves as members of the global Don Bosco family. He said the gathering of student leaders from the Province's three Salesian schools was meant to deepen a sense of belonging, foster collaboration, and build unity among future leaders.
The workshop also featured team-building exercises and group competitions to develop communication, cooperation, and leadership skills in an engaging environment.
Speaking on behalf of the participants, Miss Arya Tate of Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Oros, thanked Fr. De Souza for his inspiring and innovative sessions. She also expressed gratitude to the Provincial House community for its warm hospitality and excellent arrangements.
Fr. Melwin Ferrao, SDB, Principal of Don Bosco High School and Junior College, Oros, conveyed appreciation on behalf of the principals of the three participating schools, acknowledging the efforts of everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the leadership workshop.
