Oodlabari Youth Unite for a Day of Faith and Vocation Inspiration
Don Bosco School, Oodlabari, resonated with youthful enthusiasm and spiritual reflection as around 270 parish youth, aged 12 to 18, came together from all 14 sub-centres for a day-long Faith Formation and Vocation Animation program. The event, held from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., transformed the campus into a vibrant space for prayer, discernment, and community bonding.
The sessions were animated by Fr. Antony Vayalil (Parish Priest), Fr. Sunit Kiro, Sr. Agatha Rai, and Sr. Veronica Minj, who led the youth through a series of interactive discussions, reflective exercises, and moments of contemplative silence. These sessions encouraged participants to explore their faith more deeply and discern their personal call in life.
In his address, Fr. (Dr.) Aju Kurian, Rector of the institution, reminded the gathering that faith and vocation go beyond religious life. “Faith formation is not a one-day event but a lifelong journey. Vocation is not just about becoming a priest or sister—it’s about becoming what God dreams for each one of us,” he emphasized.
The day concluded with a moving commitment prayer, where participants pledged to live out their faith with renewed conviction and purpose. Joyful songs, inspiring talks, and profound silence reflected the spirit of Don Bosco’s vision—to form “good Christians and upright citizens.”
The program was coordinated by Fr. Antony Vayalil, whose dedicated leadership and careful planning ensured that the day was both spiritually enriching and meaningfully organized for every participant.
