News written by: Fr C M Paul SDB
Don Bosco English Medium School, Azimganj, conducted a two-day Seminar on Healthy Living Habits for students of Classes 3-7 on 8–9 December, in collaboration with Anubhav Interactives Training Solutions, Kolkata. The programme featured Ms. Deblina Saha and Ms. Sarkar as the primary resource persons.
Principal Fr. Noby George noted, “The seminar aimed to instill holistic awareness of health, hygiene, emotional balance, and daily wellness practices among young learners,” he stated.
The sessions integrated storytelling, demonstrations, interactive question–and–answer rounds, and relatable everyday scenarios, ensuring clarity and engagement for young participants. Visual aids such as posters, charts, and short educational videos enhanced recall, while group-based activities strengthened teamwork and encouraged peer-driven motivation.
Core topics addressed during the seminar included balanced diet choices, regular physical exercise, personal hygiene practices, mindful screen time management, emotional well-being, family bonding, and healthy sleep patterns. Trainers also underlined simple but essential habits such as adequate hydration, morning stretching, consistent sleep schedules, and reducing intake of junk food.
Students participated enthusiastically, sharing personal experiences and posing thoughtful questions on lifestyle habits. Teachers reported that the sessions generated meaningful reflection, prompting children to rethink daily routines and adopt healthier behaviours proactively.
