St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, hosted an Inter-School Group Dance Competition on August 29, drawing six schools for a vibrant celebration of creativity, teamwork and artistic expression.

The competition was judged by a three-member jury comprising Tripura celebrity Adong Jamatia, choreographer and dance teacher Khakthansa Sharmili Debbarma, and dance teacher and choreographer Sraddha Neogi.

Welcoming the participating teams, principals, teachers, students and jury members, Fr. Babu Stephen appreciated the enthusiastic response from the schools and wished all the participants success. He also urged the young dancers to uphold the spirit of healthy competition and give their best on stage.

The participating teams delivered energetic performances, showcasing coordination, discipline, creativity and stage presence. Their presentations earned the audience's appreciation and made the event memorable.

Don Bosco School, Agartala, emerged as the winner, securing the First Prize along with a trophy, a ₹15,000 cash award, and a certificate. Don Bosco School, Nabasardar, won the Second Prize, receiving a trophy, a ₹10,000 cash award, and a certificate. Meanwhile, the host institution, St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, secured the Third Prize and received a trophy, a ₹7,000 cash award, and a certificate.

The jury members presented a special dance performance, which was warmly received by the audience.

The prizes were distributed by Fr. Babu Stephen in the presence of the principals of the participating schools—Fr. Suman, Fr. Surjit, Fr. Juel and Sr. Banri—along with the jury members.
