Don Bosco Prison Ministry of the Province of Kolkata established in 1995 evaluated their youth ministry for 103 inmates enrolled in technical courses at Berhampore Central Correctional Home, West Bengal and decided to step up quality skill training partnering with DB Tech and aligning the electrical training batch with the Schneider Project. Founded by Rev. Fr. N.T. Scaria, SDB, and copiloted by Fr. T.L. Francis in 2002, the Provincials and Core team have consistently focused on skill development, social integration, and support for the marginalized which includes vocational training, legal aid, social awareness programs, and family welfare schemes.

The St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat, a Don Bosco Institution, lifted the boys' brass band category Champion's Trophy at the State Level Inter-School Band Competition, organized by the School Education Department, Government of Tripura, held on December 6 at Khudiram Government Higher Secondary School, Agartala, Tripura. Nine boys' teams from various schools across Tripura participated, while two competed in the girls' category.

A joint meeting bringing together Economers, Directors of Province Development Offices, and Directors of Mission Offices of South Asia was held from November 30 to December 3. This collaboration marked a significant step in strategic organizational planning and mission initiatives. The discussions centered around two essential documents issued by the General Councillor for Missions and the Economer General in Rome: Guidelines and Orientations for the Mission Office and Province Development Office (PDO) as Research & Development Office of the Province: Integrating Mastery & Mystery. These guidelines align mission-driven projects with innovative research and development efforts, fostering impactful and sustainable operations across the provinces.

The Bosco Institute in Jorhat recently hosted a landmark conference titled CONFLUENCE, which served as a gathering for over 30 visionary social sector entrepreneurs. Held on March 1st and 2nd, the event transcended into a platform where the future of social innovation took centre stage.

2nd March 2024 will be a day to remember for the members of BOSCOM (Salesian Media Network of South Asia) as it marked the launching of its new initiative the "Luminata" project. There were over 60 participants present online from across South Asia consisting of Salesian Social Communication delegates of provinces, members of the Provincial Social Communication Commission, FMA and other Salesian family of Media Animators and various Lay members involved in the media ministry.
