The South Asia Delegate for Salesian Brothers, Br Joby Mani, animated the Salesian Brothers of Guwahati Province on the Identity of the Salesian Brother in the Church and the world at Bosco Mount, Tura, Meghalaya on December 3, 2022.

The eleven Salesian Brothers of the Province participated in the one-day animation and meeting. Father Januarius S. Sangma, Provincial, greeting the Brothers, said, “We should be Good Samaritans for the people for whom we are working, especially the poor and abandoned youth." He further asked them to be a visible identity to the people, especially to the boys in the school and seminary. During the Eucharist, the Provincial based his sermon on the life of faith and sacrifice of St Artimede Zatti for the good of others.

As an introduction to the animation, Br Mani briefed the gathering on the pilgrimage to Italy for the canonization of Salesian Brother Saint Artimede Zatti. Br Mani highlighted the Identity of the Salesian brother in the Church and the world, Vocation to Salesian Life and Conducting vocation camps in the Province.

Father Joseph Teron, Vice Provincial, addressed the brothers in the afternoon session. He touched upon the concern of the vocational crunch in the Church and the Provinces. He recommended the Salesian brothers to be part of the vocation camp to inspire the young boys.
