News reported by: BIS Corresponden, Kerala
A three-day literary camp titled “Walk With Words” was organised at Don Bosco Boys Home, Mundakkal, under the leadership of the Fishermen Community Development Programme (FCDP), with the aim of enhancing students’ literary skills while nurturing their social and cultural awareness. Through interactive sessions, creative activities, discussions, and group activities, the camp sought to strengthen participants’ reading, writing, communication, and critical-thinking abilities while promoting social values, teamwork, and interpersonal relationships.
A total of 23 students participated actively in the camp, which began with an ice-breaking session and interactive games that encouraged enthusiasm and teamwork among the children. The participants were later divided into four groups representing different fields of literature.
The camp was officially inaugurated by noted writer, publisher, and social activist V. T. Kurippuzha. During the inaugural session, he distributed books published by Sthithi Publications to the students and delivered a talk titled “Humanity, Art, and Literature,” highlighting literature's transformative role in society.
The programme was attended by Fr.
