A one-day intensive training programme on Salesian Pedagogy was successfully conducted for the teachers of Don Bosco School, Bidar, Karnataka, on 26 May 2026, in the ITI AV Room at Don Bosco, Bidar. The programme brought together 24 vibrant and enthusiastic educators who participated wholeheartedly in the enriching learning experience aimed at deepening their understanding of the educational vision and mission inspired by Saint John Bosco.
The workshop, titled “Educating with the Heart of Don Bosco: A Journey into Salesian Pedagogy,” focused on helping educators gain a deeper understanding of Don Bosco’s Preventive System and equipping them with practical strategies for applying Salesian educational principles in contemporary classrooms.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Fr. Praveen K. J., Principal of Don Bosco School, Bidar, who introduced the resource person, Rev. Fr. P. D. Johny, Secretary of the Salesian Provincial Conference of South Asia (SPCSA) and Secretary of the All India Don Bosco Education Society (AIDBES). The programme was graced by the presence and support of Fr. Steven Lawrence, Rector and Manager of the School, and Fr. Bibin Jose, Administrator and Principal of the Industrial Training Institute (ITI), Bidar.
